Hey guys! Sorry to pop in and out so quickly today but I just wanted to share this beast that I recently acquired and see if anyone would be interested in putting in a custom order. It's incredibly sturdy with a metal interior body, (as you can see in the picture of the drawers), and boasts more storage than any other buffet style piece I've refinished yet! Every drawer has a lip for easy opening, though hardware can be added at request. So if you're in the market for a big ol' buffet, (or media center or office storage), let me know!

Price to refinish is $485, (before adding hardware if requested)

Buffet for sale - profit going to Oklahoma relief!

What affects a few, may it affect many

In light of the tornado that has affected thousands of people in Oklahoma, ripping homes and schools apart, taking lives, I would love to raise some money to donate to the American Red Cross disaster relief. Upwards of 10,000 people were affected by this tornado, 2,400 homes torn to pieces. Any little bit can help the many who have lost everything. 

I am moving on from our beloved teal buffet that has been the focal piece of our living room for the past few years. I painted it several years ago in a saturated teal and the more we've loved it, the more distressed and chippy it's become. This piece is in excellent condition, completely sturdy, and all wood. Lots of space for storage, (plus adjustable shelves)!

Chateau Grey cabinet

I love me a grayish green. There is nothing like the color of dried mud inside the home, is there. It's soothing and tranquil, goes with anything, and there are about a billion variations to choose from. You can go more gray with a hint of green, or something similar to Annie Sloan's 'Chateau Grey', which is a lovely green with a touch of grey. This was the perfect choice for a beautiful versatile cabinet that I got to finish OUTSIDE recently.

This is my first piece done in Chateau Grey and I have fallen in love with this natural, mossy color. So much so, in fact, that I almost reconsidered all the Duck Egg aquas I've got going on, just to fit it in.

Almost.

It took about 4 hours to strip this top and sand it down, (!!!), but it was sooo worth it. That wood grain is no small detail and enhances the rich character of this piece.

Isn't it lovely? There's just something about a raw, natural color, lightly distressed, against a dark wood lacquered in high gloss. I love that contrast; so timeless.
